Forestry and enviromental economics and appraisal
(objectives)
Develop knowledge and skills related to the economy applied to the forestry sector and the environment. The course is aimed at understanding: a) the basic elements of the economy; b) the economic interpretation keys relating to the management of natural resources and environmental resources; c) the functioning of the sector, the markets in which it operates and some policies that influence it; d) the basic principles and techniques of forest and environmental evaluation. The objective is to develop in students the ability to: autonomously interpret the economic processes that influence the sector and the environment in which one operates; assess the economic sustainability of forest enterprises and the validity of the investments made in them; develop simple forestry estimates. Ultimately, it is intended to train a graduate able to operate in productive activities that are carried out in the forest-wood-mobile system both in the enterprise and in the professional activity.
