Curriculum

Daniela Vitiello è docente di Diritto dell’Unione europea presso l’Università degli Studi della Tuscia, delegata dipartimentale alla qualità della didattica e all’orientamento post lauream e co-referente del Rettore per la Rete delle università italiane per la pace (RUNIPACE). Abilitata all’unanimità alle funzioni di professore di seconda fascia, la dott.ssa Vitiello è vicepresidente dell’Associazione “Amici di Giurisprudenza”, coordinatore scientifico del Progetto di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale (PRIN 2022) “CoSME” (Community Sponsorship for Migrants in Europe), responsabile del Work Package n. 3 del Centro di eccellenza Jean Monnet sull’integrazione dei migranti in Europa (IntoME), nonché fondatrice e responsabile della rete #UNITUS4Refugees. La dott.ssa Vitiello vanta una vasta produzione scientifica sulle tematiche dello Spazio di libertà, sicurezza e giustizia dell’Unione europea ed è autrice di una monografia sul ruolo dell’Agenzia Frontex nella gestione integrata delle frontiere esterne dell’Unione. È membro del comitato di redazione di diverse riviste e blog di settore, tra cui European Papers, Roma Tre Law Review, SIDIblog e ADiM Blog, nonché coordinatrice scientifica del gruppo di interesse della Società europea di Diritto Internazionale (ESIL) sul diritto dell’immigrazione e dell’asilo (ESIL MigRefLaw) e della rassegna giurisprudenziale dell’Associazione Italiana Studiosi di Diritto dell’Unione europea (AISDUE). Daniela Vitiello is the Principal Investigator of the Research Project of National Interest (PRIN 2022) entitled "Towards A European Model of Community Sponsorship for Refugees: Access, Reception and Integration", acromym CoSME (Community Sponsorship for Migrants in Europe). She is also in charge of the Work Package no. 3 of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on the Integration of Migrants in Europe (IntoME), co-convener of the ESIL Interest Group on Migration and Refugee Law (MigRefLaw), founder/co-director of the #UNITUS4Refugees network. Daniela is a tenure track assistant professor of EU law at the University of Tuscia, where she teaches EU law, EU custom law and EU migration and asylum law and policy. She is also Departmental Delegate for Quality of Teaching and Placement, co-delegate of the Rector for the Network of Italian Universities for Peace (RUNIPACE) and Vice-President of the Association "Amici di Giurisprudenza". Dr Vitiello has written extensively on the European Union's area of freedom, security and justice and is the author of a monograph on the role of the Frontex Agency in the integrated management of the Union's external borders. She is a member of the editorial board of several journals and blogs in the field, including European Papers, Roma Tre Law Review, SIDIblog and ADiM Blog, and scientific coordinator of the jurisprudential review of the Associazione Italiana Studiosi di Diritto dell'Unione Europea (AISDUE).
